Experience in my eyes is crucial, working with live briefs, competitions and work experience gets you out there in the real world creates a bigger plaform for your own design community and a larger digital footprint.
Interview preps
So you've done all the above with your eye-catching portfolio, up-to-date social platform and built a great network to work with. You've now applied, got the call and they want you to attend a job interview.
Best advice is to be YOURSELF. That goes for what you should wear, the majority of agencies don't expect their employees to wear formal businesswear. But that being said they also don't you rocking up wearing battered trainers and ripped jeans or baggy trousers. Just look the best you can!
Going the extra mile!
Think about the type of person you'd be looking for if you was in ther interviewers shoes; a passionate, versatile, excited, self-motivated person who can work as a team and willing to go that extra mile, to achieve real world results. Its likely that the interviewer has considered lots of people for just one role, so you need to stand out. Don't be afraid to mix things up a little and step out your comfort zone.
